This artist’s book in a single copy, conceived and edited by Libri Aparte, represents the evolution of the 4 ways to art-project from which it originated.
It consists of 4 albums, each of which began as an elementary volume of blank sheets of paper, offered as a travelling companion to the 4 artists (Stefano Romano, Francesco Pedrini, Andrea Nacciarriti, Claudia Losi) involved in 4 ways to before the start of their journey from Italy to Albania.
Delivered empty, the 4 volumes were used for notes, sketches or to paste particular images.
They represent 4 unique artist’s books, the result of a reflection on the experience of displacement, of that space contained between a departure and an arrival as between the first and last pages of a book.
These sheets contain the entire experience of a journey in an extreme attempt to retain something, a photograph, a landscape, the layout of a hotel room, a postcard or a local holy card.
