Gianni Maroccolo

Il Sonatore di Basso

Spartiti e tablature trascritti da Mur Rouge

60,00 Spedizione inclusa

A one-of-a-kind book, born from rare dedication and a deep love for music — and for one of its most quietly influential protagonists: Gianni “Marok” Maroccolo.

Il Sonatore di Basso collects 104 bass lines, meticulously hand-transcribed into sheet music and tablature by Mur Rouge, a musician and passionate devotee who has managed to capture on paper the sonic soul of an entire career. A philological and emotional work that spans Maroccolo’s many artistic seasons — from Litfiba to CSI, from Marlene Kuntz to his solo projects — conveying the deep breath of a truly distinctive style. Created to celebrate Gianni Maroccolo’s 50 years in music, this volume is at once a tribute, a document, and a tool: a living testament to the journey of an artist who has left an indelible mark on Italian music.
For those who play, for those who study, for those who listen.
For those who know that the bass can tell stories.

Gianni Maroccolo (born 1960) is a central figure in the history of Italian rock from 1980 to the present. Bassist with Litfiba, CCCP Fedeli alla Linea, CSI – Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti, PGR – Per Grazia Ricevuta, and as a solo artist, he is also a composer, arranger, educator, sound technician and manipulator, and artistic and record producer. An untiring builder of connections and a multifaceted interpreter of contemporary sound.
