Un ritorno

It is dedicated to the homonymous film by Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, authors engaged in a visual and cinematographic artistic journey.
Through a rich iconographic apparatus, the book documents the phases of a unique and unprecedented project: Un ritorno deals with a moment of creative crisis for the De Serio twins. With the collaboration of Giuseppe Regaldo – an expert in rapid hypnosis techniques – they become subjects and objects of an experiment in simultaneous hypnosis during which they try to transfer an external (creative) crisis to an internal (identity) one through a cross-eyed gaze aimed at the normally invisible area of the unconscious.
Accompanying the reader are texts by Maria Grazia Bellisario, Beatrice Merz, Angela Tecce and a conversation between Ludovico Pratesi and Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio.

This volume was produced as part of the first edition of the initiative Museo Chiama Artista, born of the common intent of the architecture and contemporary art service of the PaBAAC – General Directorate for the Landscape, Fine Arts, Architecture and Contemporary Art of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and AMACI – Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, to support the contemporary art system by commissioning new works from Italian artists to be exhibited in the AMACI museum network.
